Spend an evening in the spectacular 1920s picture house, with a programme of films on issues of migration and flow, accompanied by food.
Annexinema: Everything Flows is organised by artist Ian Nesbitt, bringing together two organisations – Annexinema, a nomadic showcase of experimental and artists' films, and Open Kitchen Social Club, a weekly social event that provides food and support for destitute asylum seekers, refugees and those in need.
The event is an extension of Everything Flows, an exhibition of works by Sheffield contemporary artists, united by a sense of motion, on now at Millennium Gallery. Films will include new pieces alongside older 16mm works. Samosas will be available before the screening and, following the films, the audience is invited to join Open Kitchen members to share in the breaking of the day's Ramadan fast with a meal.
In conjunction with Migration Matters Festival.
Doors open 7pm, film starts 7:30pm, food served 9:30pm.
387 Abbeydale Road, S7 1FS.
