UnShut Archived

UnShut is a festival of performance, opening doors for artists and audiences by bringing exciting new artists to Sheffield for people to enjoy on a pay-as-you-decide basis.

Organised by Sheffield-based performance artists Charlotte Blackburn, Valentina Contrino, Stan Skinny and Jessica Gibson, the first UnShut will take place at DINA over three days this May.

The festival features over 30 performances from 50 artists from across the country and beyond, showcasing everything from spoken word to comedy to installation art to dance. There'll be a theatre piece about visiting Queen Elizabeth’s home, a performance based on the poetry of Sufi mystic Jalaluddin Rumi, and a political theatre piece about fake news. Alongside all that, UnShut will also host workshops and discussions, and go out with a bang with a closing party on Saturday night.

DINA, 32-34 Cambridge Street, S1 4HP.
