Whenever new people come to Sheffield and they’re looking to visit somewhere special or romantic, we always send them off to VeroGusto. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the high street on Norfolk Row, VeroGusto offers a quiet, cosy dining experience that never fails to deliver on flavour.

Producing authentic, traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist, you can expect nothing short of perfection from the kitchen. VeroGusto staff pride themselves on serving some of the best dishes in the city. And they regularly refresh the excellent fine wine selection, with a stunning range of hand selected bottles from Italy.

But back to the food – it really is something special. If you pop in at lunchtime you can treat yourself to a range of fresh focaccia sandwiches or really make yourself happy with a freshly made, authentic pizza. Those looking to make more of a night of it can choose from a delicious selection of fresh pasta and risotto or feast upon the pesce and carne selection of seasonal dishes.

And finally, if fresh Italian pastas and handpicked fine wines don’t persuade you to book a table, the dessert selection will. Traditional Italian treats such as torta della nonna (a custard tart with lemon and pine nuts), profiteroles and tiramisu sit shining in a mouthwatering display cabinet alongside such gems as pear and ricotta cheesecake and chocolate and hazelnut tart. Puddings worth sharing, in this little slice of Italian heaven on a Sheffield side street.
