The site is open 10:30am–4pm for free (last entry 3pm) – so while you're there you can make the most of the sandpit and play area, explore the meadow and Tudor ruins, visit the Turret House, and find out more about the history of the site.
Head down to the Rhubarb Shed cafe for lunch – they’re open Wednesday–Sunday 10am–3pm, and you can book a table on 07375366429. The Discovery Centre will also be open selling hot and cold drinks and snacks. Or you can bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds.
