He was once the eternally young frontman of Supergrass, but in recent years Gaz Coombes has transformed into one of the elder statesmen of British pop music.
He’s released four critically acclaimed solo albums during his career, being nominated for Ivor Novello and Mercury Music prizes along the way. Back with his fourth solo LP, Turn the Car Around, the record was written and recorded during the recent triumphant Supergrass reunion shows. Clash Magazine called it a “fearless, intricately crafted and sonically expansive body of work that effortlessly showcases why he’s one of the UK’s most talented songwriters.”
