Spaces for Creation: Skateboarding

Dr. Dani Abulhawa

Spaces for Creation is Site Gallery's series of conversations about urbanism and cultural space. The talks took place in 2019 and 2020 as part of the gallery's City of Ideas programme.

In the talk below, Professor Iain Borden (UCL / Bartlett School of Architecture) and Dr. Dani Abulhawa (senior lecturer in Performance at Sheffield Hallam) examine skateboarding as a tool for better understanding the urban environment, particularly if we want our cities to offer more than just the flow of capital.
