A young boy, shipwrecked on a remote island, discovers he’s not alone when he encounters an old Japanese soldier who retreated there after World War II. As dangerous invaders appear on the horizon, it becomes clear they must join forces to save their fragile island paradise.

Adapted from the modern classic novel by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse), this gripping hand-drawn animated tale carries a message about working together to protect nature that has never felt more relevant.

Featuring the voice acting talents of Cillian Murphy, Sally Hawkins, Raffey Cassidy, and Ken Watanabe.

Kensuke’s Kingdom is rated PG, as it contains mild threat, upsetting scenes, violence, injury detail, and bad language. For fans of The Wild Robot, The Boy and the Heron, and War Horse.

Family Time screenings are relaxed and feature subtitles and low-level lighting for accessibility and comfort for all. All tickets are £5. Please find more information about Family Time here.
