The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Grow is a youth development charity that works with young people in Sheffield. Many of the young people it works with face mental health difficulties that have resulted in social isolation and a lack of engagement in work or training prospects. The charity combines coaching with nature based projects to help its trainees combat social isolation, boost their wellbeing and develop employability skills.

Show your support for Grow's work by bidding on the goodies on offer in their online food and drink auction this autumn.

This year, Grow are celebrating their fifth birthday, and they're making big plans for the future. As well as continuing to support young people through their programmes, they want to increase the number they work with and expand the outcomes for trainees through the integration of horticulture and customer service qualifications. To support these goals, they need to raise funds.

Here's a taster of the prizes on offer...

  • Bullion Chocolate – A private tour, tasting and chocolate bar-making workshop for a family of five
  • JÖRO – A very rare opportunity to spend a day in Luke French’s kitchen with JÖRO chefs
  • Kelham Island Food Tours – Two places on their fascinating History and Brunch tour
  • Moonfull – Have a go at making natural wine at home with a wine making kit from Moonfull
  • Network Chilli – A fun hands-on curry cooking workshop for two
  • Ammi’s Kitchen – Delicious takeaway vegan curry for two with beautiful tiffin tin
  • Factory Floor – Drip Masterclass: learn how to create stunning Factory Floor drinks from start to finish, with two dripped cocktails to properly finish the session
