The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Red Rocket

Red Rocket follows Mikey, a once successful porn star in Los Angeles, now knocking on the door of his ex-wife in the poor industrial Texas suburb where she lives with her mother.

Nobody is pleased to see his return, and when he meets a young woman named Strawberry working at a local doughnut shop, he falls right back into his old habits.

Writer-director Sean Baker follows up his acclaimed films Tangerine and The Florida Project, with another vivid, arresting and unaffected comedy-drama set on the margins of modern society.
