A (Semi)-Trad Paxmas with SHLAB Mummers' Play & The Hearnes Christmas Carols

Donations

How better to spend an evening a few days before Christmas than with Sheffield Arts Lab (SHLAB) and The Hearnes?

Making a return for 2024, for what is now a firm Paxmas tradition.

This year, at 7pm, SHLAB will be returning by taking on the folk tradition of a mummers’ play. Dating back to the Middle Ages, there is a rich history and varying plays across Britain. Mainly performed by a troupe of amateur actors who engage in combat with the loser being revived by a doctor character performed at pubs.

Followed by at 8pm, the 4th annual Hearnes Christmas Carols hosted by Rebecca L Hearne, Ray Hearne and Emily Hearne. Join them for an informal sing-along to get us all in the Christmas spirit. Once again, this year they’re shaking a bucket, this time for Prostate Cancer Care. Please donate generously.
