Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story

A documentary about 1960s soul singer Jackie Shane, telling the story of a life of eclipsed stardom and trailblazing trans musical history. Hosted by Sheffield Libraries and Sheffield DocFest.

Hagglers Corner

Cafe by day, lively music venue by night. Hagglers' bunting-strewn courtyard is also lined with an array of indie businesses, from a record shop come wine bar to a florist to a music school.

One of post-punk’s cult treasures, dubbed “the misfits’ misfits” by John Robb. Formed in Birmingham in 1979, they racked up a run of critically adored singles, albums and radio sessions. Expect sharp wit, wiry energy and outsider spirit.
