Sheffield Folk Sessions Festival brings pubs around the Kelham Island area to life with a weekend of song.

Expect singing sessions, instrumental sessions and workshops. There's usually also a concert on Sunday afternoon. All events are free with donations collected for the festival's chosen charity.

Henny Penny: A Children's Opera

Playhouse

A children's opera telling the folk tale of a young chicken who believes the sky is falling when an acorn lands on its head. Composed by Julian Phillips and performed live for the very first time, with a choir of Sheffield primary children.
