The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Revolutionary music in a revolving setting. The University's modernist Arts Tower and its rare paternoster lift formed the backdrop for Terry Riley's minimalist masterpiece, In C, for the first Sheffield Modern architecture weekender on 26 October 2018. Musicians from across the city were led by composer-collective Platform 4 in this extraordinary, sold-out concert experience, performing from within the paternoster’s continuously moving compartments.

See a short film by Vox Multimedia below, capturing some of the magic of a very special night.

Sheffield Modern: In C was organised in association with Sound Lab at the University of Sheffield Concerts.
