The debut film from director Bong Joon-Ho, who earlier this year delivered the multi-award-winning Parasite, is now being released in the UK for the first time ever since its original release in the year 2000.
Barking Dogs Never Bite follows the interconnected lives of the residents of a large, faceless apartment block: a teacher with a vendetta against noisy dogs, a pregnant and bossy wife, and a dreamy-eyed young office clerk as they all navigate their dreary existences.
The out-of-work teacher becomes so annoyed by the yapping dogs at his apartment complex that he decides to take drastic action, in this hilariously dark comedy of errors, displaying many of the themes that became part of director Bong Joon-Ho's masterful and signature style in his later films.
See where it all started with the debut film from the director who over twenty years cemented a place at the top of international cinema.
