Join Sheffield Jazz for a gig with the Doncaster Jazz Orchestra, a big band whose local name belies the national prominence of its musicians. Expect a stylistically diverse programme of music.
Those appearing are professional musicians who have a long-standing relationship with the Doncaster Youth Jazz Association. Some – including Reuben Fowler, Rory Ingham, Matt Robinson and Nadim Teimoori – have jazz recording credits as contributors or key members of leading UK bands. The orchestra is recording an album to celebrate its 50th anniversary and for this gig they will feature material that will appear on the album
