Ricky, a defiant young city kid raised on hip-hop and foster care, is a bad egg.
With a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside, he quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family: the loving Aunt Bella, the grumpy Uncle Hec, and dog Tupac.
When tragedy hits them, Ricky and Hec find themselves on the run, as a national manhunt ensues, and the two are forced to put aside their differences and survive as a family, or go out in a blaze of glory.
Starring the late, great Sam Neill in one of his most beloved roles, Taika Waititi's Hunt For The Wilderpeople is now back in cinemas for its 10th Anniversary.
