Drawing influence from the traditional folk song, orchestral arrangements and his own ethereal style of guitar playing, Jim Ghedi has become known across the UK and Europe for his beautifully crafted folk songs.
His work explores the themes of social politics, history and the environment, often exploring the natural world and his relationship to it – including the village in which he grew up along the Yorkshire/Derbyshire borders. MOJO Magazine described his latest album, In the Furrows of Common Place, “melodically sublime… although Ghedi’s music is infused with tradition, it’s very much experiencing the present.”
