An extra special pattern club live, with algorave and other pattern-based electronic dance music performances from legends Tim Exile, Switch Angel + LO.FI.SCI.FI and badcirculation in the sidney + matilda basement.
Sheffield Pattern Club is a local outfit exploring pattern-based creative arts, through workshops, residencies, gigs and festivals. Through their community focus, Sheffield has become internationally known for producing top notch live coding artists as well as free/open source live coding platforms.
As the Sheffield Tribune reported, their members are responsible for founding and nurturing the Algorave movement that's now blowing up in the US, so it's great to see break through artists like Switch Angel drop by on her tour from Boston Massachusetts, as well as drum 'n bass legend Tim Exile bringing his handmade pattern generators up from London. They'll be joined by Birmingham based live code duo badcirculation, as well as pattern club residents Eye Measure, Epiploke and Damu.
This one is going to be a lot of fun!
