For generations, the Silver Dollar Road property in North Carolina was passed through the Reels family, which allowed them independence and shelter from the violence of white supremacy.
However, the family must battle decades of harassment by land developers trying to seize their waterfront property to retain their family home.
Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Raoul Peck (I Am Not Your Negro), Silver Dollar Road crafts a cinematic tale of Black resistance and familial bonds.
