Sounds About Write is The Writers Workshop's live literature event with a difference.
It's not just spoken word, though words are spoken. It's not just an open mic, though the mic is open. It's not just an author talk, though it invites authors to talk. This time there'll be two local poets who both have new pamphets out: Kate Millington and Genevieve Carver.
These visiting guests will perform and also talk about their writing journeys, and then it's your turn to take to the stage for an open mic. Prose or poetry, anything goes. It doesn't have to be polished, and you don't have to be perfect – you just need something you'd like to share and that sounds about right!

Doors for the event open 6:30pm, performance starts 7pm.
