Wesley Gonzalez is the former front man of cult-indie icons, Let’s Wrestle. As a solo artist, he’s swapped the lo-fi, guitar driven sound of his band for a style more influenced by pop and soul from the 70s and 80s – he’s somewhere in between Sly and the Family Stone, Pulp, MGMT, Giorgio Moroder, Future Islands, and George Michael.
He released his third album, Wax Limousine, earlier this year. Loud and Quite Magazine said: “the album is proudly high fidelity, full to the brim with widescreen, skew-whiff pop songs that more than flirt with the dance floor.”
