Wesley Gonzalez is the former front man of cult-indie icons, Let’s Wrestle. As a solo artist, he’s swapped the lo-fi, guitar driven sound of his band for a style more influenced by pop and soul from the 70s and 80s - he’s somewhere in between Sly and the Family Stone, Pulp, MGMT, Giorgio Moroder, Future Islands, and George Michael.
He’s released two brilliantly named albums – Excellent Musician (2017) and Appalling Human (2020) and will release his third this year. The Quietus described him as “extremely charming in his boundless self-deprecation set to effervescent 80s synth-pop.”
