For September's dance, "audiophile party" organisers Apricot Ballroom have invited Sumosui to Sheffield while he's on a rare trip to this part of the world.
Usually based in New Zealand, Emmanuel's a phenomenally deep digger, and his selections have rightly given him a solid reputation with DJs and taste-makers. He's a lifelong record collector and music researcher, who has more recently put these skills to work with his label Canopy Records, which launched last year with General Ehi Duncan's track Africa My No.1 (which Apricot Ballroom have had on regular rotation since its release).
Hosts Joi La Frique and Nonna Fab on warm-up and closing duties.
Full audiophile sound-system in place, with a custom combo Klipschorn/Celestion Ditton stacks and Bozak mixer in effect on the night.
Tickets start at £5, but will be more on the door on the night, so don't delay!
