Often compared to his hero and idol Tom Waits, Ed Harcourt is known for his darkly atmospheric anthems.
Harcourt has built up a cult following since he received a Mercury nomination for his debut album, Here Be Monsters. He’s since released five more records whilst also collaborating and performing with the likes of Mariane Faithfull, Patti Smith, The Libertines and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Having been described by the Times as “one of the best singer/songwriters to emerge this millennium,” his music takes influence from baroque rock, whilst his lyrical influences include masters like Nick Cave and Jeff Buckley.
