Discover the fascinating history and story of kite making from around the world before being guided through the traditional materials and techniques needed to craft your own Indian fighting kite.

Taking inspiration from the Fake Fans exhibition, you’ll decorate your kites with bold, character-filled designs that celebrate your personal favourites.

For hundreds of years, kites have been central to both childhood and adult games and pursuits. Across the globe, kite flying is synonymous with freedom, the outdoors, imagination, and possibility.

This workshop is suitable for audiences aged 10+.

Intergenerational collaboration is encouraged. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
