The acclaimed violinist Fenella Humphreys, Wigmore Hall artist-in-residence (2025-2026) and internationally renowned pianist Martin Roscoe have performed together in various formats. They are known for their total immersion in performance, their sensitivity, musicianship, and rapport with the audience. They are each prestigious, multi-award winning artists with extensive and varied repertoire and discographies.
Their programme of romantic and lyrical music spans over two centuries to the current day. The music evokes the atmosphere of the seasons and natural world in works by well-known composers, and those deserving to be more widely performed. 'Tracing' by Sally Beamish was specially commissioned by Fenella for the duo to perform and was premiered in 2025. The work is based around a part formed memory from Fenella’s childhood of an image in a painting by her artist father, that she had always loved.
