Open Deck Social is for anyone from a marginalised gender or LGBTQ+ identity who would like to learn DJ skills. Or just share music and hang out with like-minded people in a welcoming space.
Any experience level is welcome – there'll be a beginners' tutorial in every session, as well as slots for longer practices and time for a little B2B.
FLAW is a collective for marginalised genders aiming to create a space to share skills, access equipment, collaborate and support each other.
Working Them’s Club is an open collective for LGBTQ+ people who are interested in building a queer electronic music community in Sheffield. It aims to provide a space for skill sharing, equipment access and organising.
Gut Level is a Sheffield-based DIY event space that runs as a not-for-profit members' community. It focuses on dance music, club culture and the surrounding communities, giving a platform to people who are underrepresented in the music industry – namely LGBTQ+ folks, women and non-binary people. You'll need to become a member to attend – membership starts from £2 per year.
