Two of the UK folk scene’s finest and most prolific guitarists, Jim Ghedi and Toby Hay, joined forces once again on their second collaborative album this May. Join them here in Jim's hometown for an intimate gig in the Samuel Worth Chapel at Sheffield General Cemetery, hosted by Cemetery Sessions.
Jim is known for his intricate, atmospheric guitar playing. His alternative take on classic folk often explores themes on nature, our landscape and history. Toby, meanwhile, hails from the Cambrian mountains. The landscape likewise serves as a muse for his entrancing guitar playing.
With a spartan setup of just two guitars – Jim on the six-string and Toby on the twelve – the duo recorded the sessions that became the album over three days in Wales. The result is a lush, immediate and inarguably authentic album.
