Join Sheffield Transformed for the Sheffield premiere of Khartoum at the Broomhall Centre on Thursday 5th February from 7:30pm, and help raise money for SOS For Sudan.
The film, which was released in 2025 and nominated for awards at several international film festivals, charts the lives of five people in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, which has been ravaged by by an extremely brutal civil war since 2023.
All profits from ticket sales will be donated to SOS For Sudan, a mutual aid organisation for Sudanese people seeking sanctuary in Sheffield. Members of Sheffield's Sudanese community will be at the screening to talk about their experience of leaving Sudan in the wake of the conflict, as well as the historical context of the conflict and what people can do to show solidarity with the Sudanese people.
