This unique event will be an irreverent celebration of a humble Northern dish that deserves iconic status, and a playful take on the world of performance art. For this one-off celebration, the first 400 attendees will be given one of McKee’s handmade butties to eat, in service of a wider advocation for communal eating.
You can come at any time during the three-hour performance, but please be prepared to queue at busy times.
Please note that due to the nature of the event, we are unable to cater to visitors with dietary requirements. You can still attend the event if you do not wish to eat the produce. Due to the nature of the event set up Pete will not be available for pictures or signings.
This event is part of the programme of events complementing The Boy with a Leg Named Brian: Memoirs by Pete McKee exhibition at Weston Park Museum, which continues until 2 Nov 2025.
