Sam Sweeney is a four time nominee for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Musician of the Year, winning in 2015. He’s also a veteran of folk stalwarts Bellowhead, the inaugural artistic director of the National Youth Folk Ensemble and founding member of the acclaimed trio Leveret.
Mark Radcliffe, host of the BBC Radio 2’s Folk Show called him “one of the defining English fiddle players of his generation”.
As part of Sam’s solo tour, Sam will play the first half of the concert on his own. Louis Campbell will then join him for the second half as they perform their new EP, Shapes.
