Network are hosting an all day reggae event spread over three different stages. The full lineup is yet to be announced but the legendary David “Ram Jam” Rodigan has been confirmed as headliner.
After hearing Millie Small’s ska hit My Boy Lollipop, Rodigan has been a devotee of Jamaican music ever since. With an encyclopaedic knowledge of reggae music, he’s gained a reputation as one of the finest reggae DJs in the world. It’s led to a broadcasting career that’s lasted over for over 35 years and multiple awards. He’s now a member of the Sony Radio Academy Hall of Fame and in 2012 was awarded an MBE for “services to broadcasting” at Buckingham Palace.
