There’s nothing like listening to a Yorkshire brass band to get you in the festive mood. And this isn’t just any old brass band, Stannington are the current First Section National Champion Band of Great Britain!
Tracing their roots all the way back to 1881, the band are continuing the proud tradition of playing brass band music into the 21st century, encouraging and coaching new members through their Training Band.
Retaining close links with the local community, they’re especially busy at Christmas time. Accompanied by mulled wine, mince pies and lots of carol singing – what better way to enter the Christmas season.
