Clare Boothe was an American writer, politician and Conservative public figure. The Women was first performed in 1936 and is a satire about wealthy Manhattan socialites. Mary discovers that her husband is having a relationship with another woman and she demands a divorce, which she comes to regret.
Play Readings are open to anyone. You don’t need to be a performer or read the plays beforehand. It doesn’t matter if you don’t even know who the playwright is. We read the play in a relaxed space. You’re welcome to bring drinks and snacks and discuss our thoughts about the play.
