The Go! Team have spent the past 18 years taking their listeners on sonic day trips to far away exotic lands. Impossible to pin down to one style, they incorporate everything from shoegaze, indie and hip-hop to 70s TV themes, funky marching bands and schoolyard chants. The music they create is continuously interesting, mind-expanding and joyous.
The latest album from the Brighton six-piece, Get Up Sequences, is self-descried as a “united nation of sound” that spans “sunshine funk, Cyclone Tracey wig outs, chromakey sitar psychedelia, Casiotone anthems, horoscope electro, spoken word melodrama, kalimba callouts and more.”
