Join volunteers from Sheffield Visual Arts Group to discover a selection of public artworks on a 90-minute walking tour during this year's Heritage Open Days.
Sheffield has a wealth of public artworks on display, with a wide variety of sculptures, reliefs and statues that decorate the city. On this tour you'll find out more about firm local favourites that you may know well, as well as out-of-the-way artworks you might never have spotted before. You’ll hear about the history of works that have been in place for decades, along with others that have been recently installed this year.
The walk has been compiled using the Sheffield Public Artworks Map, a free digital map that details over 180 public artworks across the city.
It is a circular route, starting and ending at the Millennium Gallery.
Tour times: 11am–12:30pm / 2–3:30pm
