A group of teenagers who are about to graduate, sneak into school to pull off a prank, but then face unforeseen consequences.

With a new, oppressive security system installed in their school amidst tense national political circumstances, the teenagers respond to and confront their situation in different ways.

A striking debut feature from director Neo Sora - son of the late, acclaimed film score composer Ryuichi Sakamoto - Happyend is set in the near-future, but wholly explores global societal anxieties of today.

A thoughtful and timely coming-of-age story, against a backdrop of cityscapes and an evocative film score.
