Higher Fields Festival is a brand-new grassroots music and arts festival, launching in summer 2026 in the heart of Sheffield’s S2. It brings together DIY musicians, artists, crews and communities from South Yorkshire and beyond.
Built from the ground up with independence and accessibility at its core, Higher Fields Festival is a not-for-profit, multi-stage outdoor event running from midday until 9pm, followed by an afterparty at Steamworks that will carry on into the night.
The festival champions the DIY spirit that defines Sheffield’s creative culture, offering a platform for emerging and established independent artists while prioritising fairness, inclusion and community support. All proceeds from the event will be split evenly between every performer and crew member, ensuring everyone involved is paid and valued.
Stage partners include Gut Level, Hatch, Groundwork and Grub Records, with an additional Community Stage supported by the Sarah Nulty Foundation, putting the next generation of DIY musicians to the forefront. Additional partners to follow in a later announcement.
