Mini Migration Matters Festival returns to The Montgomery on Saturday 28 June, a day dedicated to children and young people.

The programme is co-curated with the Youth Theatre of Sanctuary, and co-led by Stand & Be Counted Theatre, the UK’s first theatre company of sanctuary. All free entry, but book in advance.

Please note: children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Fashion Design Workshop – 10–11:30am

For children aged 5–11. Book in advance.

London Fashion Week designer Kazna Asker is teaming up with Stand & Be Counted Theatre to deliver a unique Fashion Design Workshop tailored specifically for the Youth Sanctuary of Theatre.

This exciting collaboration offers young participants the opportunity to explore fashion as a form of creative expression and cultural identity. Under the guidance of Kazna Asker, attendees will learn how to design and craft their own accessories and artwork – from bracelet making to canvas painting.

Football Shirt Customisation Workshop – 12–1:30pm

For young people aged 5–15. Book in advance.

Join Amar Shah from community focused streetwear brand Among Good People and Stand & Be Counted Theatre for a Football Shirt Customisation Workshop.

You'll get the opportunity to create something brand new to take home with you!

Among Good People is a community focussed streetwear brand that is born out of a lifelong love of football and expression through design and creativity. Founded by Amar Shah, a self-taught artist and designer based in the UK.

Garden Gremlins – 10am–2pm

For children under 5 and their caregivers. Book in advance.

Garden Gremlins by Mafwa Theatre is a stay-and-play group.

Led by artist Beatrice Knowles, Garden Gremlins invites kids to explore creative play with everyday objects in a safe, multi-sensory outdoor environment. It's a fantastic opportunity for little ones to get loud, have fun, make new friends, and ignite their imaginations.

Mafwa Theatre uses creativity to bring refugees, asylum seekers and settled communities together.
