Thirteen painters from Yorkshire Artspace's Exchange Place Studios and Persistence Works will exhibit together for the first time.
The solidarity that runs between the painters is the place they connect to their creativity and dedicate time to the pursuit of painting: the art studio.
This exhibition is a showcase of Yartspace painters, past and present and our vibrant creative community.
Artists included are Eleri Bates, John Brokenshire, Phil Cole, Paul Dearden, Michelle Dickens, Tim Rose, Rezwana Sarker, Richard Johnson, Frances Lewis, Keith Nichols, Sally Weston, Myfanwy Williams, John Wilsher.
All the artists come from different backgrounds and found their path into the arts in varying ways. The group’s approach to painting explores many different aspects of contemporary and traditional art, from expressionistic and figurative to abstract and right through to landscape and nature.
We exhibit together to show the diverse range of contemporary painting, which is not just a medium or a process but a form of expression through painterly means.
Exhibition open Monday to Friday 9am–4pm.
