Join Community Kino for the Sheffield Radical Film Festival – a day of progressive films, discussions and workshops on the early May bank holiday Monday.
Community Kino bring people together over cinema to help transform the way we see ourselves, others and wider society. After a few pop-up screenings in Sheffield, the community cinema are now planning their first festival.
The programme will start on 1 May on the theme of Strike Action with two films by Ken Loach at Sheffield Quaker Meeting House, starting after the Sheffield TUC March in the city centre.
- 2–5:30pm – Bread and Roses (Ken Loach, 2000)
With a discussion on working class fightback held by Sheffield TUC (Trades Union Council). - 6–9pm – The Spirit of '45 (Ken Loach, 2013)
Plus a Spirit of '23 workshop with Sheffield Transformed.
Tickets are for each separate screening and include the post film discussions.
All tickets also include a festival zine.
