Villagers is the vehicle for Irish singer-songwriter Conor J. O’Brien. They specialise in producing soul-enriching, life-affirming tracks that have seen them build up a loyal fanbase over their 14 year existence.
Taking influence from the classic pop of artists like Paul Simon and Robert Wyatt alongside more contemporary artists like Tame Impala, they straddle the worlds of folk, chamber pop and indie rock. They’ve been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, won Ivor Novellos and received heaps of critical acclaim along the way.
They released their fifth studio album Fever Dreams last year, which the NME described as “woozy, psychedelic soul that conjures another world.”
