Head to Cupola Gallery in Hillsborough for its annual Christmas exhibition.
We Called Yesterday, Today features contemporary artworks by over 85 artists from around the country, including lots of local talent – with work to both browse and buy. The exhibition is all about the link between our past ideas of the future and our reflections on the past. Christmas is often a time of reflection; a pause to celebrate and look forward to the year ahead.
Ceramics feature heavily in the show, with many decorative as well as functional items. You'll also find painting, both abstract and figurative, printmaking, glass, jewellery, sculpture, textiles and photography. Many works reflect on our connection to and our impact on the natural world, while others make references to history both personal and universal.
Handmade Christmas decorations, cards and gift items will also be on sale.
