Dig Where You Stand unearths untold stories about people of colour who have lived, worked and put down roots in South Yorkshire over hundreds of years. They do this by exploring archival records, using creative practices to reimagine the lives contained within them, and sharing these stories in public exhibitions.
Over the last year, Dig Where You Stand has been working with 14 local artists to find more stories and produce new creative responses through photography, poetry, dance, textiles and sculpture. This event will share some of this recent work and provide an exciting insight into their upcoming summer exhibition.
