The biggest vintage store in Sheffield, Thrifty Store has filled the old Co-op in Castle House with rails and rails of “wavey garms for all the fam!” – according to the website. That basically means everything from trainers to hoodies, pinafore dresses, boiler suits, jeans and any pre-loved item you could think of. There’s a rework team too, transforming stock into totally unique, one-off pieces like tartan shorts and ruched crop tops. Oh, and there’s a whole range of homeware, records, tapes, collectables and “other jumble” – if you want to know what that means, we’d recommend taking a visit.
The place is brightened up with an ace mural by Sheffield-based artist Marcus Method too (who took these snaps) – see more of his work.
