Everyone’s favourite curtain-wearing family is back on the big screen at The Light.
Julie Andrews takes up her guitar to delight audiences as the free-willed but naive Maria. Conflicted over whether she should give her life to serving as a nun in Nonnberg Abbey, Maria finds herself as governess to the seven children of Captain Georg von Trapp (Christopher Plummer), an Austrian naval officer and a widower. On arrival, Maria discovers Captain von Trapp runs a pretty tight ship, but she soon fills the house with music, dancing and performance. However, their new-found happiness is threatened by the rise of the Third Reich in Austria. Drama ensues.
