lost signal is a new gig series bringing the best names in DIY electronica to Hatch.
They're kicking off as they mean to go on with...
Flora Ocean Parkin (DJ set)
Hot from the release of her outstanding debut EP Electric Dreams Golden Sea on Mutualism, the mighty Flora Ocean Parkin brings a DJ set of high energy Techno, DnB and anything else that gets the blood pumping.
In her debut solo release, Flora Ocean Parkin transmits the ecstatic. Expanding their voice into a shimmering tapestry and wrapping the listener in its golden threads. Reaching for the outer limits of her range, they chart a trajectory through maternal desire, phantom forms and a sensory understanding of the self, in order to trace a path to reconciliation and transcendence.
Heavy Lifting (live)
Heavy Lifting is Lucy writing confused live code for a different dimension. For fans of: minor deities, fruit and veg, and Italian mountain towns.
Phoneutrian x Zaron Mizmeras (live AV)
Crystalline soundscapes and synchronised visual storytelling using four televisions. From the co-founders of Interworld Media in support of a forthcoming Phoneutrian album.
Vernon Delph (live)
Glitch/Breakbeat/Techno/Ambient project from Sheffield based Jim Bollington. Formerly of TAAE electronic duo Corner Control, improv techno collab BHS and various other solo projects including Body Antoinette and the secret colours. First gig in about 7 years and first under this alias.
£8 advance, £10 on the door. No one turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF)
Access note from Hatch:
Unfortunately Hatch is not accessible at present – there are two steps to get into the space, but otherwise the rooms inside are all flat. The toilet is not wheelchair accessible. Chairs are available on request. We supply earplugs for free. Please talk to a Hatch member (ask at the boat bar) if you need help with anything, we’ll be happy to help. Hatch has a separate live room, so there are usually quiet spots to sit during gigs away from the music.
Hatch operates a safer space policy available on their website. If you have any issues at the event please speak to one of the organisers, who can be found on the door. You can also email hatch.saferspace@gmail.com. We will keep anything you tell us confidential where possible
Hatch is an 18+ only venue.
