Following the success of last summer’s Music on the Terrace events, Sheffield Creative Guild will showcase more amazing musicians from the Sheffield area with Music in the Square this summer. This time, they're teaming up with Boxie, who give space to artists who are female, non-binary, trans or gender queer. As well as wonderful local talent, there'll also be delicious food and drinks on offer from the vendors and bars at Sheffield Plate.
Playing on Friday 1 July:
Rhiannon Scutt
Championed by multiple BBC Introducing shows in the north, Rhiannon is a Sheffield based singer-songwriter. Decidedly anti-genre in her approach, her music flows between rock, folk, jazz, Americana, and touches on much more beside. For this live performance, backed by the unshakable rhythm section of Philippe Clegg and Sarah Heneghan, Rhiannon’s natural, charming stage craft will be given the world class foundation it deserves.
Harri Larkin
A Cornish singer songwriter based in Sheffield UK. Although loosely labelled as an indie funk, Harri’s writing combines elements of grunge, jazz, punk and pop, creating something truly new and exciting. In the last year she has been featured 16 times on BBC introducing Sheffield and is well regarded for her high energy performances and infectious sound.
