We Hate The Sharkman are a Sheffield-based seven-piece jazz/funk/afro/dub band. Celebrating the release of their new EP Sharp Teeth, Dull Minds, they play a mix of brass infused originals as well as covers (their first released included versions of Bill Withers's Ain’t No Sunshine and Favourite Things from the Sound of Music).
Who the Sharman actually is, no one really knows. But as they say themselves: "the Sharkman is everything terrible in this world – an amalgamation of all the worst actions possible, a single point of pure iniquity. That person who skips your song in the queue, a driver throwing a half-eaten burger out their window, the taxman, they are all contained within the Sharkman."
