Sheffield’s own folk maestro Jim Ghedi has become one of the country’s premier folk artists. Known for his intricate, atmospheric guitar playing, he explores alternative takes on classic folk ideas, often on themes of nature, our landscape and history.
Mojo Magazine said, “although Ghedi's music is infused with tradition, it's very much experiencing the present,” while Q Magazine called him “a brilliant finger-picker and songwriter... shining a welcome light into an underrated genre”.
He’s back performing with a full band at Sidney & Matilda this April. With support from the Sheffield-based gloom-folk of R Loomes and folk-horror specialists Slug Milk.
